Nature always finds a way
They say that nature always finds a way– and she did again! Bacteria have been found to eat Styrofoam material and turn it into usable plastic.
As the article on MSNBC outlines, the plastic made from this process:
- can be used to make plastic forks and packaging film,
- is resistant to heat, grease and oil
- lasts a long time
- biodegrades in soil and water
This should begin to help take care of the 3 million tons of Styrofoam is produced every year in the U.S — what will mother nature think of next?
When will we learn that nature always has a solution, if we only are open to finding it!
