OneWorld Health is the first nonprofit pharmaceutical company in the United States dedicated to developing drugs for so called “orphan diseases”, which have been eradicated in the West, and thus have no profit potential as business ventures. In this digital story, originally prepared for the 1st International Online Conference on Business as an Agent of World Benefit, Moli Steinert, then the development director for the company, talked about an innovative business model that is at the core of the company’s operations.

U.S. businessman Bobby Sager found his success in retail liquidation. Today he travels the world with his family, funding a variety philanthropic and for-profit efforts in countries as far flung as Rwanda, Nepal and Yemen. In this multimedia story, Sager describes his work in Rwanda and the philosophy of engagement and benign self-interest that drives all his projects.
