Landmark Forum will Unite Academy of Management, U.N. Global Compact and Case Weatherhead School of Management
A landmark forum, Business as an Agent of World Benefit: Management Knowledge Leading Positive Change, uniting the Academy of Management, United Nations Global Compact, and Case Weatherhead School of Management will be held on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland on October 23-25, 2006. Business executives and management scholars from around the world will explore ways in which business can be a leading force in eradicating poverty, enhancing the environment, and advancing peace-while still prospering financially. |

Chris Laszlo: Building Bridges to Leadership in the 21st Century
From the time he was a teenager, Chris Laszlo realized he wanted to do something with his life to make a difference in the world. Today Laszlo is a partner and co-founder of Sustainable Value Partners, Inc., a Virginia-based consulting firm that specializes in creating shareholder value through corporate responsibility. The firm is focused on working with multinational corporations, as these companies typically are leaders in their respective industries and set the standards. |

Croatian Student Joins B·A·W·B as Fellow
Mislav Ante Omazic joined the Center for B·A·W·B as a fellow this fall hoping to gain insight into the corporate social responsibility (CSR) movement as it is taking shape in the West. A Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, Omazic is working on a thesis regarding CSR in Croatia and looks forward to challenging his ideas about CSR and business as an agent of world benefit in Case's learning environment. |

Net Impact's Annual "Case Bowl" Raises Money for Local Charity
Weatherhead School of Management's local Net Impact chapter hosted their fourth annual Case Bowl competition on February 3rd, raising over 900 dollars for a local charity. A highly popular event with students and faculty, the annual Case Bowl explores two sides of a corporate social responsibility issue by pitting teams of professors against each other in a battle of skill, wit, and humor. |
